Volvo Trucks Korea Launches 2023 Service Camp and Safety Driving Campaign

Volvo Trucks Korea will conduct a service camp from the 15th to the 19th at 17 locations nationwide.

The 2023 Volvo Trucks service camp will kick off at the SinTanJin Rest Area (Seoul direction) in Daejeon and will take place sequentially over five days across three regions: ▲ Northern Region (Gangwon/Gyeongseo), ▲ Western Region (Central/Honam), and ▲ Eastern Region (Daegu/Gyeongbuk, Busan/Gyeongnam).

In order to assist customers with safe operation ahead of the peak summer heat, Volvo Trucks conducts this service camp annually. Customers visiting the service camp will receive free comprehensive vehicle inspections, as well as essential supplies and souvenirs, including engine oil, washer fluid, and urea. Additionally, original filters will be sold at discounts of up to 34%.

Volvo Trucks Korea initiated the service camp program in 2004 as an industry-first customer service initiative. A professional maintenance team, composed of Volvo Trucks specialists, visits key locations where customers frequently operate their vehicles to communicate with them directly, providing free truck inspection services and inspections and replacements of consumable parts.

Along with various inspection services and events, the company is conducting a safety driving campaign aimed at preventing accidents, embodying Volvo Group’s core value of ‘Safety’. To support safe driving for commercial vehicle drivers, rest areas to prevent drowsy driving will be set up at each campaign site, and information on drowsy driving prevention will be distributed to drivers.

On the first day of the service camp at the SinTanJin Rest Area, CEO Park Gang-seok of Volvo Trucks Korea stated, “We have been conducting service camps since 2004 to express our gratitude to customers. Our employees participate directly on-site to listen to customer feedback and respond with improved services.” He further promised, “We will prioritize trust with our customers and commit to providing differentiated products and services unique to Volvo Trucks.”

Meanwhile, during the 2023 service camp period, Volvo Trucks Korea will also hold a national tour exhibition featuring fuel-efficient vehicles with new-generation engines and upgraded versions of the I-Shift, alongside changes applied to key components.

The new Volvo D13 / D11 eSCR engine system, known as Fuel Save, is designed to meet the ‘Euro 6 Step E’ standards while maximizing both performance and fuel efficiency, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through its environmentally friendly SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system.

This nationwide tour exhibition will be held from May 15 to 19 at major operational hubs including Incheon, Uiwang, Gwangyang, and Busan.
