Audi Twin Cup 2023: Showcasing Excellence in Service and Technology in Korea

Audi Korea successfully concluded the ‘Audi Twin Cup 2023 Korea Finals’ held at Songdo Convensia on April 8-9, as part of a customer service and maintenance technology competition.

The ‘Audi Twin Cup’ is an annual event aimed at enhancing the service capabilities of Audi after-sales service staff worldwide. It has been held annually in Korea since 2008 and is open to any official Audi dealer. The competition is divided into two categories: the ‘Service’ segment, focusing on customer interaction skills and product knowledge, and the ‘Technology’ segment, which assesses technical maintenance skills.

This year, a total of 56 participants from 29 teams (10 in the service category and 19 in the technology category) who excelled in the online tests conducted since the second half of last year took part. Evaluations were based on both theoretical knowledge and practical scenarios likely to occur at official service centers, including team-based practical tests on actual vehicles and individual written exams.

The final results for the service category saw the KolonAuto ‘KolonSongpa’ team take 1st place, followed by the Taian Motors ‘Teian’ team in 2nd. In the technology category, the top honors went to the Yukaro Automobile ‘Progressive’ team, with the 2nd place awarded to the Wibon Motors ‘MOST1’ team and 3rd place to the Wibon Motors ‘road’ team.

Two outstanding individuals from each category were selected, forming a total of four members for the Korean representative team. They will compete in the ‘Audi Twin Cup World Championship’ in Munich, Germany, from July 11 to 14, where they will face off against Audi service personnel from around the globe.

This year, the Korean representatives include Kim Dae-jin from KolonAuto and Oh Hyung-rok from Taian Motors for the service category, and Kim Hyun-soo from Yukaro Automobile and Han Woo-hyun from Wibon Motors for the technology category.

Previously, the Korean team has demonstrated exceptional service quality, technical prowess, and teamwork, winning the overall championship in 2013, placing 2nd in the service category in 2015, winning the service category in 2016, and finishing 2nd overall in 2021, thereby gaining recognition for providing world-class service.

Meanwhile, Audi Korea is pursuing a continuous e-mobility electrification strategy while establishing an after-sales service system. They are investing in network infrastructure and facility expansion to ensure quick and convenient repairs and inspections of electrified vehicles in major cities and locations nationwide. Simultaneously, investment in training specialized technicians for electric vehicle models is ongoing.

Through these efforts, Audi Korea aims to enhance both the quality and quantity of after-sales service alongside new car sales, striving for customer satisfaction this year.
