Introducing the All-New Honda CR-V Turbo: A Bold Step in the SUV Evolution

Honda Korea is officially launching the 6th generation All-New CR-V Turbo in South Korea. Starting today, November 11th, customers can experience and test drive the new vehicle at authorized Honda dealerships nationwide, and it will be available for purchase through the ‘Honda Online Platform’ from the 20th.

The Honda CR-V has become a world bestselling SUV, beloved by consumers around the globe for its solid fundamentals, excellent space utilization, and overwhelming safety features.

The 2023 All-New CR-V Turbo is a full change model introduced after six years, showcasing the most daring style transformation ever seen in the CR-V series. It adopts a dynamic and sporty design, with an upgraded body size that provides more generous interior and cargo space compared to previous models.

The improved 1.5L VTEC turbo engine combined with a CVT powertrain achieves high efficiency and environmental friendliness. Additionally, the Honda Sensing driver assistance system has been enhanced, providing a more powerful and safer all-around SUV.

The starting price of the All-New CR-V Turbo is 41,900,000 won (VAT included), and it will be offered in three colors: Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Crystal Black Pearl. For the Meteoroid Gray Metallic color, customers can choose between gray and black for the interior color.

The All-New CR-V Turbo will be available from Honda Korea’s newly introduced ‘Honda Online Platform’, allowing consumers to conduct the entire purchasing process online, including test drive applications, estimates, contracts, and payments starting from the 20th.

The All-New CR-V Turbo evolves with a more robust and refined style, showcasing a dominating presence. Its front-end design features a completely revamped black front grille and long hood, enhancing its sporty feel suitable for both urban and outdoor lifestyles. The rear also harmonizes with a sleek roof spoiler and the CR-V’s signature vertical rear combination lamp, creating a sophisticated style.

The interior merges usability and openness with a horizontally oriented layout focused on straight lines. The front honeycomb pattern and simple button configuration provide a modern and intuitive user environment.

The All-New CR-V Turbo completes an intuitive dynamic view frame that provides overwhelming safety and comfort through new package design. Compared to the previous model, its length has increased by 75mm and the wheelbase by 40mm, enhancing body stability and offering ample interior space.

The second-row seats feature an 8-stage reclining function and secure best-in-class legroom. The front incorporates a rectangular glass design, and the A-pillar and hood shape are optimized to enhance forward visibility, providing a safer driving environment.

The trunk offers a base cargo space of 1,113L, boasting best-in-class capacity. It comfortably holds four golf bags and allows for a two-stage adjustable cargo floor. By folding down the second-row seats, the space expands up to 2,166L, providing a spacious and comfortable environment suitable for camping, camping gear, or large family trips.

The All-New CR-V Turbo comes equipped with an upgraded powertrain system. With a 1.5L VTEC turbo engine combined with CVT technology featuring a turbocharger and VTEC (Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control), it delivers impressive performance with a maximum output of 190ps and peak torque of 24.5kg·m. Additionally, this model has received the certification of ‘three types of low-emission vehicles’ for the first time among CR-V gasoline models, thereby enhancing its environmental friendliness. Noise reduction in the CVT belt further enhances quiet operation during acceleration.

The Honda Sensing system has been improved with a wide-angle camera that extends the field of vision to 90 degrees, and the radar’s detection range has been expanded to 120 degrees. Consequently, the performance of the adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance systems has been upgraded. The traffic jam assist utilizes the camera to detect lanes, functioning from a standstill, while the low-speed brake control detects objects in front and behind the vehicle at speeds below 10 km/h, helping to control driving force for enhanced safety and comfort.

Honda’s unique structural safety design technology, ACE™ (Advanced Compatibility Engineering) and a 10-airbag system, including rear side airbags and front knee airbags, ensure collision safety in various environments.

The All-New CR-V Turbo will also feature ‘Honda Connect’, a remote vehicle management service.

Through a single app, users can remotely control the vehicle, monitor its status, and receive emergency notifications, enabling safe and convenient vehicle operation. It is expected to improve customer response and communication, aided by a 24-hour emergency call center. ‘Honda Connect’ will be offered as a free service for five years after purchase.

Easy Hong, CEO of Honda Korea, stated, “The 6th generation CR-V has been reborn to faithfully respond to the essence of the car while actively reflecting changes in consumer lifestyle and recent SUV trends,” adding, “I hope the All-New CR-V Turbo will be a good partner for a safe and comfortable mobility life shared with family, friends, and loved ones.”
