Alpha Motor Selects Seoul Mobility Show for World Debut: A New Era for Electric Pickup Trucks

The organizers of the Seoul Mobility Show have announced that the U.S. electric vehicle brand Alpha Motor has chosen the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show as its global debut stage.

Founded in California by Korean-American entrepreneurs in 2020, Alpha Motor is an electric vehicle startup composed of experts from the automotive, IT, and finance sectors, striving for automotive innovation and a sustainable future under the motto of “Moving Humanity.”

With the introduction of new models including the retro-designed Ace (Coupe), Jax (Crossover), Wolf (Pickup Truck Series), Saga (Sedan), and Rex (SUV), Alpha Motor has emerged as a promising player in the EV industry, with pre-orders expected to generate over 1 trillion KRW in revenue. The company continues to validate its capabilities through various design patents and award recognitions related to EV system technologies.

At this year’s Seoul Mobility Show, Alpha Motor will unveil the sleek four-passenger pickup truck, the ‘Wolf Plus’ and the ‘Wolf.’ The Wolf Plus is equipped with single motor rear-wheel drive and dual motor all-wheel drive options, boasting a driving range of 402-443 km on a single charge, generating global interest even before its launch. Alpha Motor has stated it will begin pre-orders for Wolf Plus in 2024, with an official launch planned for 2025.

Edward Lee, CEO of Alpha Motor, shared the reason for choosing South Korea’s Seoul Mobility Show as their initial launch venue, saying, “Alpha Motor’s vision is to lead ESG innovation and achieve a green economy globally, and the Seoul Mobility Show is the most suitable exhibition for this. We are excited to showcase our mobility solutions, including the Wolf electric truck, at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show.”

Additionally, co-founder Soyoon Lee remarked, “Alpha Motor is committed to providing customers with new experiences and fresh opportunities through mobility solutions, and we are dedicated to making a positive impact on humanity through environmental sustainability.”

An official from the organizing committee stated, “Through the global launch of Alpha Motor’s vehicles at this event, visitors will be able to experience a new world of electric pickup trucks like never before. In addition, a variety of electric vehicles and electric two-wheelers will be on display, with test drive events provided to showcase the attractions of electric-based mobility.”

Meanwhile, the organizing committee has changed the event name from the Seoul Motor Show to the Seoul Mobility Show since 2021, considering the expansion of new mobility sectors such as future cars, robots, and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). The 2023 Seoul Mobility Show will be held from March 30 (Thursday) for the press day until April 9 (Sunday), for a total of 11 days at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
