Kia Motors Sets the Stage for New Growth with Strategic Hiring

As part of its new beginnings under the KG Group, Kia Motors has embarked on a quest to hire dynamic talents who will join its challenge as a future mobility company.

This recruitment marks the first new hires since 2020, with the announcement being open from January 20 to February 2 for a total of 14 days. The company elaborated that the roles being filled focus primarily on essential personnel across all departments, especially in research and development relating to future vehicles.

A total of 53 personnel were hired, comprising both fresh graduates and experienced candidates. Over 5,000 passionate and skilled applicants showed interest, resulting in a significant competition ratio of 100:1. The company plans to continue attracting excellent talent in the second half of the year.

The new recruits will begin working from the 13th and will participate in on-the-job training as well as product education. They will also assist as staff in the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, marking Kia’s return to the event after a four-year absence, thus gaining valuable experience.

Kia Motors is not only focused on enhancing its workforce but is also preparing various initiatives to evolve into a future mobility company alongside the KG Group.

Last month, Kia signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Automotive Research Institute to actively collaborate on key technological research related to environmentally friendly and future vehicles, such as electric cars, hybrid cars, autonomous vehicles, and connected cars, reflecting the changing paradigm of the automotive market.

Additionally, they are hosting the KG MOBILITY design competition to outline their vision for the future by 2030, aiming to preserve and develop the legacy of the authentic SUV brand under the new banner of KG MOBILITY in collaboration with the KG Group.

Kia Motors stated, “We will continuously recruit outstanding talents who will become the driving force of our future growth,” adding, “We will particularly focus on expanding R&D investments in future vehicles to secure growth engines and develop the unique heritage of our authentic SUV brand.”
