Volvo Korea: Aiming for Enhanced Customer Experience with Network Expansion

“Making it easier for every customer experiencing Volvo.” This is the message Volvo Korea is presenting to customers this year. Volvo Korea plans to expand its network with seven new showrooms and eight service centers, ensuring that every customer can access Volvo services easily and comfortably.

On the 14th, Volvo Korea held the event ‘A New Era of Volvo Cars’ at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul. Esteemed guests included CEO of Volvo Cars Group, Jim Rowan, and Chief Operating Officer Javier Vallejera, who graced the occasion.

Jim Rowan, the CEO of Volvo Cars, stated, “Volvo’s sales in the Korean market are growing rapidly,” praising Volvo Korea’s leadership and highlighting their achievement of being 9th globally.

Having sold only 1,960 units in the domestic market in 2013, Volvo has astonishingly grown to 14,431 units in 2022, achieving a growth rate exceeding 7.3 times in just ten years. Furthermore, Volvo Korea has set an ambitious sales target of 17,500 units this year, marking a 20% increase from last year’s figures. Their goal is not just lofty aspirations but consistent and steady growth.

In line with this outlook, Volvo Korea is making significant investments in expanding its network, with a budget of 110 billion KRW.

The 110 billion KRW will be allocated to the opening of eight new service centers and seven showrooms.

CEO of Volvo Korea, Lee Yun-mo, emphasized, “Customers experiencing Volvo with differentiated services compared to German cars will not have to travel far, allowing them to conveniently access all Volvo services nearby.”
