Audi Q6 e-tron: The Next Generation of Electric SUVs

Audi plans to launch over 20 new models, including more than 10 pure electric vehicles by 2025, with the ‘Audi Q6 e-tron’ marking the beginning of the brand’s most aggressive and extensive model push in its history.

The ‘Audi Q6 e-tron’ model series will signal the start of the e-mobility era from Audi’s headquarters in Ingolstadt, showcasing the company’s commitment to electric mobility through its in-house battery assembly facilities.

Audi is currently testing prototypes of the ‘Audi Q6 e-tron’ in northern Europe, where stringent safety regulations require the Q6 e-tron to withstand cold temperatures while navigating various curves and corners. The upcoming production-ready series of the ‘Audi Q6 e-tron’ will be the first Audi model based on the new ‘Premium Platform Electric (PPE)’ technology platform. The ‘Audi Q6 e-tron’ prototype, equipped with an 800-volt electric system, powerful and efficient electric motors, innovative battery and charging management systems, and newly developed electronic architecture, represents a significant advancement in Audi’s electrification and digitalization strategy.

The new Q6 e-tron model series, which will be available in SUV and Sportback versions, is expected to symbolize sustainable production, enhanced skills of the Ingolstadt workforce, and Audi’s electrified future. Audi is rapidly transforming into a connected pure electric premium mobility provider based on solid performance metrics. Meanwhile, the Audi Group finished the 2022 fiscal year with remarkable achievements.

Marcus Duesmann, CEO of Audi AG, stated, “Our ‘Progress 2030’ strategy provides the right answers even in the face of multiple crises.” He added, “We are fully focused on systematically enhancing sustainability and product digitalization and electrification.”
