Mercedes-Benz Confirms T-map Infotainment Integration: What to Expect?

The timing for the application of T-map in Mercedes-Benz has been confirmed.

Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 21st that the T-map infotainment system will be gradually implemented from certain 2025 models. While the specific models have not yet been disclosed, it appears that the upcoming new models set to launch in the second half of next year will feature T-map.

The T-map infotainment system is already in use by Volvo and Jaguar Land Rover in the imported car market, making Benz the third brand to adopt T-map.

As T-map is implemented in the luxury car sector, brands utilizing it are seeing a disappearance of negative feedback regarding navigation systems. It is being praised for having elicited positive responses from drivers, supported not just by T-map navigation but also enhanced by the T-map infotainment system.

To garner positive feedback from Korean customers, a significant market for the global auto industry, Mercedes-Benz decided to apply a T-map infotainment system that is localized to fit local preferences.

Once the T-map infotainment system is in place, Mercedes-Benz expects to see a significant reduction in negative feedback from customers compared to their current “sedan navigation” system. Additionally, on the 14th, Volvo enhanced their T-map partnership to include electric vehicle charging, fuel payment, and subscription services, raising anticipation on whether Benz’s T-map infotainment range will rival that of Volvo.
