Experience the Thrill: HMG Driving Experience Center Opens for 2023 Season

Hyundai Motor Group will commence the 2023 season operations of the largest HMG Driving Experience Center in Korea, which combines innovative driving experience facilities and advanced driving test tracks, starting on the 25th.

The HMG Driving Experience Center consists of the Korea Technoring driving test track (1.26 million m2, about 38 acres) and a two-story customer-exclusive building of 10,223 m2 (about 3,092 pyeong), making it the largest facility in Korea that allows a variety of driving experiences and brand experiences simultaneously.

Hyundai Motor Group plans to provide customers with entirely new and innovative driving experiences through utilizing the main facilities of the test track, allowing for more diverse and dynamic driving experiences.

The 2023 season of the HMG Driving Experience Center consists of eight driving experience courses.

These include a braking course, a dry surface circuit under harsh conditions, a wet surface circuit, a 4.6 km high-speed ring track, a multi-purpose driving course to experience gymkhana and complex slalom, a wet circle course for drifting, a kick plate course, and the largest off-road course in Asia featuring inclines, gravel, sand, bumps, and ditches specifically for SUV vehicles.

Hyundai Motor Group will showcase driving experience programs of the highest level in Korea, enabling customers to fully feel and enjoy the performance of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.

From mastering the basics of driving to racing driving techniques, the program offers driving technical education, limit-driving co-experience with professional drivers, off-road experiences overcoming diverse surface conditions and obstacles, and scenic drives enjoying nearby natural landscapes and tourist attractions, allowing participating customers to choose freely based on their driving level and preferences.

From the 2023 season, the HMG Driving Experience Center will introduce the Ioniq 6 and EV6 GT vehicles into the EV Experience program, allowing customers to experience Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brand electric vehicles simultaneously along with the existing GV60.

Additionally, a Junior Driving Experience program has been developed specifically for young customers, including mobility-related kit assembly and driving experiences with instructors, aiming to provide a new joy for family customers.

A representative of Hyundai Motor Group stated, “The HMG Driving Experience Center embodies Hyundai Motor Group’s commitment to realizing the possibilities of future mobility in customers’ daily lives, going beyond just being a space to experience vehicles.” They added, “In the 2023 season, we will lead and establish Korea’s automotive culture with the introduction of new models, including the high-performance EV6 GT and more diverse programs that cater to family customers.”

Since its official opening in September 2022, the HMG Driving Experience Center attracted approximately 5,600 customers within three months until the end of November. The 2023 season is expected to run from March 25 (Saturday) to November 26 (Sunday), allowing approximately 15,000 customers annually to experience a variety of programs ranging from beginner to high-performance cars, off-road, drifting, and electric vehicles, positioning it as Korea’s representative driving experience center.
