Fernando Alonso Achieves Historic Milestone at Aston Martin in F1 Championship

Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso continues his impressive form at the F1 World Championship held in Saudi Arabia by securing a top finish, achieving an incredible milestone as the sixth driver in F1 history to reach 100 career podiums.

Turning 41 this year, Spanish veteran Fernando Alonso, who joined Aston Martin’s F1 team, debuted in F1 in 2005 and is a two-time World Champion. Aston Martin’s ongoing investment in F1, highlighted by Alonso’s recruitment and subsequent podium finishes, has solidified the brand’s reputation among luxury sports car enthusiasts worldwide.

To cater to their customers’ high interest and passion for F1, Aston Martin has created a 3D-based virtual garage, allowing fans to explore Alonso’s trophies and design personalized vehicles in a virtual environment.

In the high-definition Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One garage, customers can experience the thrill of F1 while developing their personalized vehicle specifications. They can also download brochures for their customized cars and share images on social media.

This virtual garage displays not only Alonso’s trophies but also the F1 race car ‘AMR23’ adorned with a special logo commemorating Aston Martin’s 110th anniversary. The experience is enriched with recreations of historical sites like the Brooklands circuit, providing entertainment that showcases the team’s racing history.

Renato Bisignani, Global Marketing and Communications Director at Aston Martin, stated, “Recent research revealed that more than 90% of Aston Martin customers are passionate about F1, prompting us to prepare an immersive virtual experience. From a virtual environment to a custom-made ultra-high-definition Aston Martin vehicle, we will connect with audiences worldwide. Aston Martin is committed to providing innovative digital experiences for our customers.”

Meanwhile, the luxury SUV DBX707 made its debut as the official FIA Medical Car at the season opener in Bahrain this March. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, boasting 707 horsepower and 900Nm of torque. This powerful vehicle is tasked with the critical role of transporting medical personnel to incident sites on some of the world’s best circuits.

The specially modified Aston Martin Vantage continues its role as the official safety car of Formula One. This Vantage was developed by Aston Martin’s world-class engineering team and features FIA-certified safety equipment, making it the fastest of its kind and crucial for F1 operations.
