TJ Media Launches Korea’s First In-Car Karaoke Service!

TJ Media is launching Korea’s first ‘in-car karaoke’ service. Through its subsidiary TJ Communications, in collaboration with ToBeOne Solutions, it is entering the vehicle infotainment market for the first time.

TJ Media has integrated karaoke services into the in-car infotainment system ‘Pop-Media’ featured in models like the Renault Korea Motors QM6 and XM3. This allows users to access TJ Media’s karaoke service via tethering on a 9.3-inch display screen in the vehicle.

TJ Media aims to deliver an immersive sound experience by producing high-quality backing tracks that capture the feel and atmosphere of the original songs performed by artists. With a collection of over 60,000 songs, including monthly updates of more than 300 new tracks, it caters to diverse user preferences.

This market expansion allows TJ Media to leverage its differentiated sound technology and platform-building capabilities to synergize with the karaoke machine business, propelling the company toward becoming a smarter infotainment platform business in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In-vehicle infotainment (IVI) refers to the in-car environment that offers occupants information related to driving and a variety of entertainment options simultaneously. Car karaoke, powered by integrated IT technology, is expected to emerge as a key content feature in future vehicles like electric and autonomous cars.

A representative from TJ Media stated, “A wide variety of songs from the latest hits to trot music are available, allowing users to select songs that match their tastes, and passengers of all ages can easily use the service while driving.”
