Introducing the Renault QM6 QUEST: A Game-Changer in the LPG Vehicle Market

Renault Korea has announced the upcoming launch of the QM6 QUEST, a two-seater model of the QM6 LPe, which is designed to meet the lifestyle trends of various customers, including small business owners, through its differentiated cargo space.

The QM6 QUEST, with a code name, is a new concept LPG model based on the QM6 LPe, the representative LPG SUV in the domestic market, and allows the entire interior space, except for the driver’s and passenger’s seats, to be used for storage.

This model features the same design as the QM6 and consists of five doors, ensuring there is no difference in appearance, while also providing the same comfortable ride experience as the QM6. Therefore, it can be used not only for work and personal business but also as a versatile everyday vehicle that fits various lifestyles. This is expected to be a tailored alternative for small business customers who have found traditional truck-type utility vehicles cumbersome.

The interior has a partition wall installed between the driver’s and passenger’s space and the cargo area to enable safe storage. The cargo space measures 1,423 to 1,760 mm in length, 1,261 to 1,321 mm in width, and 723 to 859 mm in height. With a cargo capacity of 1,413L, it can accommodate up to 70 ramen boxes, making it useful not only for business purposes but also for weekend leisure activities.

The QM6 QUEST is classified as a small LPG cargo vehicle under relevant regulations, allowing it to receive subsidies and various tax benefits.

Specifically, customers can receive up to ₩9 million in support when purchasing the QM6 QUEST. Under the Ministry of Environment’s support program for the purchase of new LPG cargo vehicles, customers who scrap their existing diesel vehicles and purchase the QM6 QUEST will receive a subsidy of ₩1 million for new vehicle purchases. Additionally, if they scrap diesel vehicles with emission grades 4 to 5, they can receive up to ₩8 million (based on grade 4) in additional subsidies.

There are also various tax benefits available. When purchasing the QM6 QUEST, customers are exempt from individual consumption tax and education tax and receive a low tax rate based on the cargo vehicle standard when paying for registration and annual automobile taxes. The total amount of these tax benefits can reach around ₩5 million compared to standard models if the QM6 QUEST is held for five years.

Reservations and inquiries about the QM6 QUEST, scheduled to launch in March, can be made at the nearest Renault Korea dealership.

The QM6 LPe, on which the QM6 QUEST is based, introduced the new trend of LPG SUVs to customers in Korea in 2019 and has proven its market value with total accumulated sales of 97,742 units by the end of last year.

The QM6 LPe features a third-generation LPI engine that offers a comfortable and quiet driving experience. It boasts practical space utilization with an LPG donut tank installed under the trunk floor. Notably, it ensures passenger safety during rear-end collisions with its patented mounting system. Fuel efficiency stands at 8.6 km per liter on a combined basis, allowing for a maximum travel distance of 534 km on a full tank, enabling a drive from Seoul to Busan without needing to refuel.
