Revamped 2023 Hyundai Mighty: Features That Enhance Performance and Comfort

The representative medium-duty truck from Hyundai, the Mighty, has been reborn with enhanced marketability.

Hyundai Motor Company has launched the updated model of the Mighty, a reliable favorite among customers, the ‘2023 Mighty’, on the 16th, starting full-scale sales.

Hyundai has added new optional features and a wheelbase lineup to the air brake model with a payload of 4 tons for the 2023 Mighty, while standardizing customer-preferred specifications across all models to enhance product competitiveness.

The Mighty air brake model now features an 8-speed automatic transmission with a ZF system that includes a hill-start assist function, improving operational convenience as well as vehicle response and control performance. Additionally, an air gun port outlet has been standardized to connect air guns needed for cleaning the vehicle internally and externally, thus increasing market appeal.

Hyundai has expanded the existing wheelbase lineup of the Mighty air brake system, which consists of a medium wheelbase (3,400mm), long wheelbase (4,050mm), and extra-long wheelbase (4,400mm), by adding two more options: a short wheelbase (2,950mm) and an ultra-long wheelbase (4,900mm).

Moreover, the long and extra-long wheelbase lineups now allow for the optional selection of cargo boxes, alongside creating an entry-level modern trim to broaden customer choices.

Hyundai has standardized the coil suspension for the driver’s seat across all Mighty models to reduce fatigue during long drives, while increasing the number of suspension springs for the driver’s seat and enhancing vibration absorption for improved ride comfort.

The previously existing tinted front window, which was only applicable from the mid-trim and above, has now been standardized across all trims to reduce glare while driving. The position of the work light switch has also been moved from the center of the dashboard to the lower left side of the steering wheel, enhancing customer convenience.

Additionally, the existing seatbelt warning system, which only illuminated a warning light if the driver’s seatbelt was not fastened, has been adapted for the passenger seat, now also including an audible alarm to enhance passenger safety.

Hyundai has changed the model trim names from the previous Deluxe, Super, and Gold to Modern, Premium, and Prestige, similar to passenger vehicle naming conventions, making it easier for customers to understand.

The selling prices for the 2023 Mighty are as follows: ▲2.5 tons 50,840,000 won ~ 55,360,000 won, ▲3.5 tons 52,240,000 won ~ 60,040,000 won, and ▲air brake (4 tons) 58,200,000 won ~ 63,490,000 won.

A Hyundai Motor representative stated, “The 2023 Mighty enhances its competitiveness by incorporating various specifications that reflect customer needs while maintaining the proven performance and excellent marketability of the existing model,” adding, “Mighty will continue to provide the best value to our customers in the future.”
