Pablo Aviation announced on the 20th that it will participate in the ‘2023 Drone Show Korea’ held at Bexco, Busan from the 23rd to the 25th, as part of the UAM consortium ‘UAM Future Team’, formed last May with LG Uplus, GS Construction, and Kakao Mobility.

The UAM Future Team plans to set up the largest booth at the Drone Show Korea, covering a total area of 320 square meters, focusing on a complete UAM solution that encompasses mobility platforms, aircraft, communications, and infrastructure, with the goal of securing a lead in the Korean UAM market for next-generation urban transportation.

At this event, the largest drone specialized exhibition in Korea, the UAM Future Team will create an environment where attendees can see and experience future UAM services.

In addition to the consortium’s joint booth, the exhibition will feature ▲ Pablo Aviation’s UAM integrated flight control system and drone delivery solutions ▲ LG Uplus’s UAM traffic management system ▲ GS Construction’s vertiport solutions ▲ Kakao Mobility’s multi-modal mobility vision space.

Pablo Aviation will introduce its UAM integrated flight control system, built on its expertise in smart mobility integrated control system development. This system analyzes risks through a unified system that manages the entire operation of UAM, ensuring safe flights. They will showcase their business areas by sector and their self-developed drones, as well as hold an experiential event themed on delivery drones.

LG Uplus plans to showcase a traffic management platform that provides UAM operational information sharing, traffic flow management, flight plan approvals, and route deviation monitoring in the form of AR (augmented reality) content. Experience customers will be able to vividly experience the situation of pilots and controllers communicating in real time through AR glasses.

GS Construction will implement a vertiport as the vertical take-off and landing facility infrastructure. Visitors can directly experience the boarding process of UAM with automatic check-in and walkthrough security checks in an urban airport, as well as enjoy virtual reality (VR) experiences and showcase the direction of vertiport construction and operation solution development.

Kakao Mobility will provide a three-dimensional journey experience covering ground and air based on the complete MaaS platform ‘Kakao T’. To provide a practical experience of future mobility, users can explore personalized integrated journeys that call for UAM and autonomous vehicles, demonstrating the entire process of stable integration between flight and traffic control systems and platforms, including automatic check-in.

Jung Deok-woo, Business Director of Pablo Aviation, stated, “We expect to realize the future of ultra-connected mobility, where anyone can use the skies regardless of time and place, together with the UAM Future Team, and we will take the lead in providing commercial services as presented in our vision through the advancement of technologies necessary for UAM operations and control.”

Meanwhile, the UAM Future Team is mutually cooperating in various fields, including ▲ establishing Korean-style UAM standards, ▲ conducting individual verifications to accelerate service commercialization, and ▲ jointly seeking additional business opportunities related to the UAM industry in the future.

Pablo Aviation is taking the lead in creating the UAM industry ecosystem through technological innovation, such as jointly developing the UAM traffic management platform with LG Uplus and collaborating with GS Construction on vertiport construction.
