Celebrating Innovation: Ferrari’s ‘Game Changer’ Exhibition Opens in Modena

Ferrari is hosting an exhibition titled “Game Changer” from February 18 to February 17 of next year.

The exhibition, held at the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, Italy, celebrates the journey of innovation that culminates in the Purosangue.

This exhibition showcases the most significant cars in Ferrari’s history within a new context, telling the brand’s story through the lens of innovation.

The exhibition is divided into three sections: design, technology, and performance, providing visitors with a narrative journey. Through the ‘Game Changer’ exhibition, attendees will encounter Ferrari’s innovative models, forward-looking designs, cutting-edge technologies adopted in racing and GT vehicles, as well as remarkable performance that has driven the brand’s success through relentless research and development.

The starting point of the ‘Game Changer’ exhibition is the 125 S, launched in 1947. The 125 S is a lightweight car powered by a 1,500 cc V12 engine, noted for its high RPMs. It gained attention with its original design, marking the debut of a series of game-changing automobiles around the world.

The 375 MM, designed by Pinin Farina in 1952, was the first one-off model commissioned by the legendary Italian filmmaker Roberto Rossellini as a gift for actress Ingrid Bergman. Additionally, the 166 MM is noteworthy as the first barchetta with a lightweight aluminum body, captivating onlookers with its elegant lines.

A prime example of Ferrari’s technological innovation is the 400 Automatic, introduced in 1976 as the first 2+2 grand tourer equipped with an automatic transmission to meet the evolving needs of international customers and market demands. Another notable model is the Ferrari F1-89, the first single-seater car fitted with an electro-hydraulic gearbox.

The performance section features the original 180° V12-equipped 365 GT4 BB (1973 model), the first mid-engine GT, and the Ferrari FXX (2005 model), developed as a track-oriented vehicle.

The exhibition concludes with the latest game changer, the Purosangue. As the brand’s first four-door, four-seat model, the Purosangue combines sporty design, comfort, broad usability, and driving thrills, making it a uniquely groundbreaking model that attendees will have the first opportunity to closely observe during this exhibition.
