Join the Race for a Cause: The 10th Mercedes-Benz Give ‘N Race

The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee has announced that participant registration for the ’10th Mercedes-Benz Give ‘N Race’, scheduled for April 2 in Busan, will begin on the 28th at 10 AM.

Since its inception in 2017, the Give ‘N Race has aimed to spread a culture of donation to help vulnerable children and teenagers in Korea, garnering significant interest and support from runners nationwide as it celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Breaking away from the virtual format implemented since 2020, this year’s event will be held in person for the first time in nearly three years in Busan.

This year, the Give ‘N Race will not only focus on spreading the donation culture but will also aim to bolster support for the bid to host the 2030 Busan World Expo. The running course will prominently feature symbolic landmarks of Busan such as Gwangalli Beach, Gwangandaegyo Bridge, and Bexco, divided into 10 km, 8 km, and 3 km sections.

All participants will receive commemorative items including functional T-shirts provided by official partner Under Armour, upcycling medals, sports bags, and mobile photo certificates. After the event, additional running equipment like run belts and shadow caps will be awarded through social media events such as ‘Photo Genic’ and ‘Best Crew’.

Moreover, the event will feature live performances from singers to elevate the atmosphere, alongside various photo zones and special event areas to enhance the experience for visitors attending the event.

Thomas Klein, Chairperson of the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee, expressed gratitude to runners across the nation for their support in helping make the Give ‘N Race a flagship program of the committee. He stated, “As this is a large-scale offline event happening after a long time, we will make thorough preparations to ensure that all attendees can safely and enjoyably partake in this celebration of spreading donation culture.”

Participant registration will open on the 28th (Tuesday) at 10 AM on the official website for the ’10th Mercedes-Benz Give ‘N Race’, and will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are any unpaid registrations following the first round, a second round will commence on March 8 (Wednesday) at 10 AM to finalize registration for up to 20,000 participants. The participation fee is 50,000 KRW per person, and participants can make additional donations as desired. More detailed information about the event can also be found on the official Mercedes-Benz Give ‘N Race website.

Meanwhile, over the past five years, the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee has achieved a cumulative total of approximately 85,000 participants and donations exceeding 4.6 billion KRW through nine previous Give ‘N Races. Since 2020, the initiative has collaborated annually with Busan City to implement community engagement efforts, and in December, it received the ‘Busan Sports Award’ from the Mayor of Busan in recognition of its contributions to the development of the local community.
