New Appointment at KAIDA: Jung Yoon-young Takes on Vice President Role

The Korea Automobile Importers Association (KAIDA) announced that it has appointed Jung Yoon-young, the former director of WWF Korea, as its Vice President, starting his term on January 1st. KAIDA conducted an official appointment process with various candidates possessing diverse qualities and experiences, ultimately selecting Vice President Jung.

Vice President Jung is expected to play a bridging role between the association’s member companies and the domestic market, leveraging over 30 years of rich experience in integrated and professional reputation management, deep understanding of the Korean and global markets, and expertise in organization and revenue management. He is anticipated to faithfully handle major tasks of external cooperation and the association as a whole, driving continuous development for both the association and the industry.

Jung Yoon-young graduated from Korea University and began his career at Samsung Corning in 1990. In 1992, he joined the PR firm Burson-Marsteller in South Korea, where he was recognized for his capabilities and eventually served as the branch manager. He later held various positions in external cooperation, communications, marketing, and CSR at companies like SC First Bank, Visa Korea, and Tongyang Life Insurance. Since July 2020, he has been responsible for marketing communications and fundraising at WWF Korea.

Chairman Til Share emphasized KAIDA’s role amid the paradigm shift toward next-generation mobility and electrification, stating, “KAIDA is composed of experts from various fields to communicate and collaborate more closely with domestic automotive-related departments as well as related institutions both domestically and internationally.” He expressed hope that with Vice President Jung’s joining, KAIDA would contribute not only to mobility but also to the industry from a broader perspective in the future.
