Ford Korea’s Ambitious Lineup: The Next Generation Ranger, All-New Mustang, and Lincoln Nautilus Ready to Shine

Ford Korea is set to accelerate its attack on the domestic imported car market this year with the launch of three representative new models of Ford and Lincoln. After generating explosive interest from sales last year with the Ford Bronco, Ford Korea has built a strong SUV lineup with the release of the Ford Expedition, Lincoln Nautilus, and Navigator, and will continue to satisfy Korean consumers’ needs with tailored models and strategies targeting various segments this year.

David Jeffrey, CEO of Ford Korea, stated, “The new cars that Ford Korea will launch this year are truly representative models of Ford and Lincoln,” adding, “We focused on forming a lineup that caters to various customer needs.”

In response to customer interest and demand for imported pickup trucks, Ford Korea plans to launch the Ranger Wildtrak and Ranger Raptor early this year.

The Next Generation Ranger Wildtrak and Raptor models have undergone extreme driving tests in various environments, rugged climates, and terrains across 130 countries and 5 continents, based on Ford’s expertise in pickup trucks, and are designed to be versatile to meet the driver’s needs in diverse conditions.

Reflecting various opinions gathered from over 5,000 customer interviews and surveys, the new models have been designed to be more user-centered and convenient down to the smallest details.

The large display and center console enhance driver convenience, equipped with a 2.0L bi-turbo diesel engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It delivers a maximum torque of 51.02kg·m, providing stable on-road driving as well as outstanding performance in rugged off-road conditions.

The Mustang, a symbol of American muscle cars and a pioneer of pony cars, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. With over 9 million cumulative sales as of 2021, the Mustang has established itself as a global best-selling sports car and has been a representative model of Ford Korea for over 25 years since the official sales began in Korea. The All-New Ford Mustang, which is being launched for the first time in eight years since the sixth generation Mustang was released in 2015, will captivate consumers this summer with its iconic charm.

The most notable feature of the design of the seventh generation All-New Mustang is the large digital display with two flowing and curved designs inspired by a fighter jet cockpit, providing various necessary information to drivers in a creative and intuitive visual source.

The exterior design inherits the traditional design proportions of the first-generation Mustang, featuring a sleek roofline, shortened rear overhang, and tri-bar lamps. The All-New Mustang is equipped with new and advanced engine technology to offer an even more exciting driving experience on both the road and the track. The upgraded 4th generation 5.0L V8 Coyote engine is installed in the GT model of the seventh generation All-New Ford Mustang, while the 2.3 EcoBoost model is equipped with the All-New 2.3L 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine.

The Lincoln Nautilus, a premium mid-sized SUV, will also target the Korean market with its evolved All-New model. While maintaining the simple yet elegant design identity unique to Lincoln, it maximizes customer safety and unshakable comfort based on Lincoln’s brand message of ‘Ultimate Comfort’ across various driving environments.

In this way, Ford Korea is preparing to ensure that Ford and Lincoln can be the best choices for customers with diverse needs in the domestic pickup truck, premium SUV, and sports car markets by announcing the launch of new model releases targeting various segments in 2023.
