Ionic 6: The Safest Family Car in Europe According to Euro NCAP

The second model of Hyundai’s dedicated electric vehicle brand, Ionic, the Ionic 6 has been recognized as the safest large family car in Europe.

Hyundai Motor Company announced that the Ionic 6 was selected as the ‘Best Car’ in the ‘Large Family Car’ category of the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP).

Euro NCAP praised the Ionic 6 for maintaining the safety of the passenger compartment during front and side collision tests, effectively protecting the key body parts of both adult and child passengers.

Additionally, the robust vehicle body, airbag systems designed to protect passengers, and various advanced safety assistance features all contributed to achieving the highest safety rating.

Every year, Euro NCAP selects the best cars in each category based on the highest cumulative scores across four assessment areas: ▲ adult occupant safety ▲ child occupant safety ▲ safety assistance systems ▲ and vulnerable road users (pedestrians and cyclists) safety.

In November, the Ionic 6 received a five-star rating, the highest possible, across all four evaluation areas from the agency, confirming its outstanding safety.

The Ionic 6 boasts ▲ a world-class electric consumption efficiency of 6.2 km/kWh (based on 18-inch wheels, standard 2WD) ▲ an impressive driving range of 524 km (based on 18-inch wheels, long-range 2WD) ▲ the lowest drag coefficient of 0.21 among all previous Hyundai models ▲ a sleek, aerodynamic exterior design paired with a user-centric, optimized, comfortable interior space ▲ diverse lighting technologies that interact with the driver and vehicle ▲ dynamic driving performance along with cutting-edge safety and convenience features, leading to massive popularity worldwide, including selling out on the first day of pre-orders conducted recently in Europe.
