SsangYong Motors Sets Sail for Europe at the 2023 Brussels Motor Show

SsangYong Motors is set to participate in the ‘2023 Brussels European Motor Show’, embarking on a full-scale assault on the European market.

The Brussels Motor Show, taking place from the 14th to the 22nd of January at the Brussels Expo in Belgium, is hosted for the first time in three years since 2020 and marks its 100th anniversary this year.

At this motor show, SsangYong Motors will showcase five models, including the Korando Emotion, All-New Rexton, Korando, Tivoli, and Tivoli Air, in a 240㎡ exhibition space.

SsangYong plans to officially enter the European market by debuting the Korando Emotion, their first electric vehicle that resumed production in December last year.

The Korando Emotion, an ideal family car, is South Korea’s first compact electric SUV with ample living space and versatility. It boasts a maximum output of 140kW (190ps) and a maximum torque of 360Nm (36.7kg.m), delivering powerful performance with a maximum range of 339 km on a single charge (WLTP European standard).

Last year, SsangYong Motors steadily received recognition for its product capabilities in the European market, achieving export numbers of 45,294 units, the highest performance in six years since 2016 (52,290 units).

Additionally, starting with the global test drive event for the Torres, inviting media at Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park last November, they plan to enhance brand awareness in key regional markets while ramping up global sales efforts.
