Lamborghini Museum Revamped: Celebrating 60 Years of Automotive Excellence

Lamborghini celebrates its 60th anniversary by completing renovations of the Lamborghini Museum located in Sant’Agata Bolognese and hosting its first exhibition.

The Lamborghini Museum officially reopened its doors on January 20, following a total redesign that modernized not just the layouts but also the name.

This renovation event marks the first official event in celebration of Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary and holds great significance.

During the official opening ceremony of the museum, Stefan Winkelmann, President of Automobili Lamborghini, stated, “2023 is a year filled with unique activities and developments, with various international events planned,” adding, “This opening ceremony marks the starting point for various events celebrating Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary.”

The first exhibition of the museum, titled ‘The Future Begins in 1963,’ revisits iconic eras and moments in Lamborghini’s 60-year history. It starts with the story of the brand’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, showcasing the evolution of the brand and its products from 1963 to the present. The 19 exhibited vehicles illustrate the brand’s innovative technologies and designs, affirming Lamborghini’s extraordinary and remarkable DNA.

Chairman Stefan Winkelmann remarked, “From the challenges initiated by Ferruccio Lamborghini in the early 1960s, we have written a new history of super sports cars through pioneering and innovative ideas,” adding, “Lamborghini is a brand that always races towards the future, and it will continue to do so.”

This exhibition emphasizes Lamborghini’s bold and innovative approach. It showcases the brand’s history of breaking the rules of each era and continuously setting new standards by introducing new models. While Lamborghini’s models may have seemed strange compared to contemporary super sports cars, they have consistently made remarkable advancements in automotive evolution.

The Lamborghini Museum is filled with a unique history. This building is part of the original structure laid by Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963, creating a special legacy and serving as a source of inspiration for future generations.

Meanwhile, the exhibition “The Future Begins in 1963” will display classic Lamborghini models including the 350GT, Miura S, Espada, LP400 Countach, Urraco, LM002.

Limited edition Lamborghini models such as the Reventón, Sesto Elemento, Veneno, Centenario, Sián, and Countach LPI800-4 will also stand out. Additionally, modern flagship models like the Diablo GT, Murciélago SV, Gallardo Performante Spyder, Huracán Performante, Aventador SVJ, Urus, and GT3 will also be on display.
