The Korea Automobile Journalists Association has chosen the All-New Hyundai Grandeur as the Car of the Month for December 2022.
This month’s selection is made by the Car of the Year Selection Committee under the journalists’ association, evaluating new cars and updated models released from the 1st to the end of the previous month.
Evaluation criteria include five categories: ▲ Interior and exterior design and emotional quality ▲ Safety and convenience features ▲ Power performance ▲ Energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions ▲ Marketability and purchase intent.
Among the new cars launched last month, the BMW New 3 Series, Volkswagen New Jetta, and Hyundai All-New Grandeur (listed in alphabetical order) were nominated for the Car of the Month. After fierce competition, the All-New Hyundai Grandeur was finally selected as the Car of the Month for December with a score of 35.3 out of 50.
The All-New Grandeur received a high score of 8.3 out of 10 in the safety and convenience specifications category, and recorded 7.3 points in the interior and exterior design and emotional quality, as well as in marketability and purchase intent.
Lee Seung-yong, president of the Korea Automobile Journalists Association, stated, “The All-New Grandeur is reborn as a flagship model that continues the premium sedan heritage and trust that Hyundai has built over the years,” adding, “The All-New Grandeur showcases its presence as a premium sedan with the longest wheelbase in its class, offering ample space and comfortable ride quality.”
