Explore the Porsche Now Seongsu: A Blend of Classic Heritage and Modern Innovation

Porsche opened the ‘Porsche Now Seongsu’ popup store in the cultural street of Seongsu-dong on the 9th. It is a space where one can feel the culture and history behind the Porsche brand.

Porsche Now Seongsu is operated by Seyoung Mobility, the new addition to the Porsche dealer network.

The Porsche showroom framework is categorized into three types: the center, known as a traditional showroom, the studio for brand experiences, and the popup store referred to as Now. The popup store, situated in the city center, doesn’t just sell cars but also offers a brand experience and culture to potential customers.

As soon as you enter the main door, the 1963 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S greets you. This limited edition model, of which only 28 were produced worldwide, features air intakes next to the door and a rear spoiler, showcasing the unique charm of the 911. Almost 60 years old, the Carrera 4S welcomes visitors with its distinctive, friendly face.

Behind the 911 Carrera 4S is the Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo model. By juxtaposing the classic car with the latest electric vehicle, visitors can feel the brand’s tradition and history between the two models.

Kim Su-yeon, Director of Seyoung Mobility, stated, “Throughout the period of the popup store’s operation, we plan to display various classic cars every month and enhance communication with our customers.”

On the second floor, they sell brand merchandise like clothing and model cars, along with various specialized coffee drinks unique to Seongsu-dong.

The atmosphere on the second floor contrasts with the first, creating a cozier and warmer feeling. If you’re interested in Porsche, a visit to Seongsu-dong Now might be a great way to admire cars while enjoying a cup of coffee and the tranquility of daily life.

Holger Gairing, CEO of Porsche Korea, emphasized, “We are operating Porsche Now to promote Porsche culture and all our activities. We will focus more on sharing Porsche’s history and culture than just selling cars.”

While enjoying coffee in the warm environment of Porsche Now Seongsu, the sound of the train passing over the bridge outside beautifully resonates, and the surrounding scenery of Seongsu-dong feels like a picturesque scene from a monodrama.
