Bentley Mulliner Breaks Record with 500 Personalized Orders in a Single Year

Bentley Motors’ bespoke division, Mulliner, has set a new record this year by surpassing 500 personal orders.

Bentley Mulliner, established in the 1760s, is the world’s oldest coachbuilder, responsible for the development and production of iconic models such as the R-Type Continental in the 1950s. It was officially acquired by Bentley Motors in 1959 and has since focused on the production of Bentley’s bespoke models.

Providing a new dimension of bespoke service, Bentley Mulliner has unveiled a variety of personalized models reflecting the diverse tastes of Bentley customers, including limited-edition versions such as the ‘Bacalar’ and ‘Batur’, along with a restored limited production of the iconic ‘Blower’.

To enhance its bespoke service, Bentley Mulliner established the Mulliner Design Team in 2014. Since then, they have designed and produced custom orders that faithfully reflect Bentley’s DNA, surpassing a cumulative total of 1,000 orders last year. In just one year, they have added an additional 500 orders, showcasing rapid growth. This signifies a swift increase in customers eager to own a one-of-a-kind Bentley.

Paul Dickinson, head of product commercialization for Mulliner and motorsport, stated, “The achievement of 500 orders would have been difficult without the ongoing support from the Bentley Design Studio and the Mulliner team.”

Having shown remarkable results growing by 50% in 2021, the Mulliner Design Team has once again broken records in 2022, with an 85% increase in individual customer orders, including those from retailers across various regions. Every Bentley produced in Crewe reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion of the Mulliner Design Team,” he added.

The 500th Mulliner bespoke service owner is a UK customer who ordered a Flying Spur S Hybrid, featuring a unique exterior design combining the new exterior color ‘Spark’ blue with black line specifications, and an interior design harmonizing monochrome carbon fiber veneer with Klein blue leather seats.

Additionally, all Bentley models sold in South Korea come equipped with Mulliner specifications such as 22-inch wheels and diamond-in-diamond quilting, enhancing the luxury feel of Bentley, while the optional blackline package allows for a sportier vibe.
