Hyundai Group Launches Innovative EV Car-Sharing Service in Partnership with Flag One

Hyundai Motor Group is partnering with the shared office ‘Flag One’ to promote the adoption of electric vehicles and expand mobility services.

The Hyundai Group has recently started a pilot operation of the electric car-sharing service ‘Weeble Biz’ targeting around 50 startups located at the ‘Flag One Seoul Station Camp’ in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Weeble Biz is a sharing service where companies subscribe to electric vehicles for use during weekdays as business vehicles, and individuals can use the vehicles for commuting or weekend leisure outside of business hours.

Hyundai Group has deployed two Niro EV electric cars at the Flag One Seoul Station Camp. Employees of companies using Weeble Biz can easily book electric vehicles through a mobile app and pick up or return the cars at designated parking areas within the building.

Based on the results of this pilot operation, Hyundai Group plans to gradually expand the fleet of service vehicles. Additionally, to encourage more people to experience Weeble Biz, they will offer a 30% discount on rental fees until the end of the pilot period on January 13.

Weeble Biz started its service with the Kia brand, providing eco-friendly vehicles to public enterprises and industrial complexes. Besides vehicle rentals, it also offers vehicle management, charging, applications, and IT solutions, maximizing convenience for users and managers. Starting this year, Hyundai Group is applying its own developed service operation platform to enhance the business model and expand operating regions.

A representative from Hyundai Group stated, “Through Weeble Biz, we will strive to provide optimal services so that our clients in shared office environments can reduce the burden of purchasing and maintaining vehicles while enjoying a convenient mobility experience.”

Meanwhile, Hyundai Group is currently operating a short-term pilot program for companies interested in trying out the Weeble Biz service. Interested companies can apply for the experience on the event page available on the Kia website, and participants will be selected through a lottery.
