Celebrating the Arrival of the New BMW 3 Series Sedan and Touring in Korea

BMW Korea officially launches the New 3 Series Sedan and New 3 Series Touring in the domestic market.

The BMW 3 Series has been a bestselling model, with over 16 million units sold worldwide since its launch in 1975. The 3 Series, through continuous innovation from its first generation to the current seventh generation, provides ‘the true joy of driving’ as a premium sports sedan.

The newly launched New 3 Series Sedan and Touring are part of the seventh generation facelift model, highlighting modern sensibilities and sporty charm in their exterior, along with a reimagined interior featuring the latest digital designs and convenience features.

The exterior of the New 3 Series emphasizes sportiness with a modern sense through its clean surface design and dynamic lines. The front features new design LED headlights, and the restructured BMW kidney grille includes a double bar design around the inner border, providing a striking visual appeal.

The M Sport package applied to the New 3 Series enhances its dynamic charm further. The front bumper features a large air intake at the central bottom, emphasizing its image as a sporty sedan, and vertical air curtains are positioned at both ends to enhance the sporty atmosphere.

The rear bumper also incorporates vertical reflectors at both ends to accentuate the vehicle’s wide stance, while the tailpipes have increased in diameter by 10mm compared to the previous model, complemented by a significantly enlarged diffuser.

The interior of the New 3 Series has undergone a redesign with the latest digital technology. All models now come equipped with the BMW Curved Display, which features a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display. It is designed with a driver-centric approach, creating an immersive driving environment. The center console minimizes button count by integrating various functions into the central screen, while enhanced voice recognition enables more effective operations.

The New 3 Series introduces a toggle-type gear selector for the first time in BMW sedans, and all models feature shift paddles as standard. Depending on the model, three types of interior trims including Vernasca leather, Sensatec upholstery, fine wood oak grain, aluminum rhombicle, and carbon fiber are available.

The New 3 Series Sedan and Touring will be available in a variety of powertrains, from internal combustion engines to plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and high-performance models. The gasoline models, New 320i Sedan and Touring, are powered by a BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine delivering 184 horsepower and a maximum torque of 30.6 kg·m, while the diesel models, New 320d and New 320d xDrive Sedan and Touring, feature a 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel engine with 190 horsepower and 40.8 kg·m of torque.

The high-performance M Performance models, New M340i Sedan and New M340i xDrive Touring, are equipped with an M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 387 horsepower and 51 kg·m of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.

The efficient PHEV model New 330e features an electric motor delivering up to 109 horsepower and a 12 kWh high-voltage battery, enabling electric-only driving for up to 41 km. When combined with the BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine, the total output reaches 292 horsepower and 42.8 kg·m of torque, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.

Additionally, the New 3 Series comes standard with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems and luxury convenience features, including Active Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assistant, Collision Avoidance Steering Assistant, BMW Head-Up Display, 3-Zone Air Conditioning, and Hi-Fi Sound System.

The New 3 Series Sedan and Touring are initially available in two trims: the standard model and the M Sport package, with prices ranging from 55.3 million to 64.1 million KRW, depending on the model. The plug-in hybrid model, New 330e, is priced at 68.5 million KRW, while the high-performance M Performance models, New M340i Sedan and Touring, are priced at 81.2 million KRW and 86.8 million KRW, respectively (including VAT, based on the 3.5% reduction in individual consumption tax).
