Lexus Takes Center Stage with the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Wrap Car

Lexus participated as a global automotive brand sponsor for Marvel Studio’s latest release, .

The movie, which premiered in Korea, tells the story of the fate-driven war to protect the nation of Wakanda, now threatened after the death of its king and Black Panther, T’Challa. It is the sequel to the 2018 film .

In , the LX CV—Lexus’s LC 500 Convertible—makes its appearance as the official global sponsor’s car. The LC CV retains the distinctive external style of Lexus’s flagship luxury coupe, the LC 500, while emphasizing the sense of openness typical of a convertible, and it was launched in the domestic market last year.

Ahead of the film’s release, Lexus and Marvel unveiled the “Electric Future” advertisement featuring the all-electric battery vehicle RZ 450e, built on Lexus’s first dedicated electric vehicle platform, e-TNGA.

To celebrate the release of , Lexus Korea partnered with Adidas to create a special wrap car that will be displayed at the Coex Megabox main hall until November 18 and at the Lexus Connect2 cultural space until November 30.

The special wrap car for creatively expresses Wakanda’s identity through unique patterns and colors featured on the Lexus luxury coupe LC CV as seen in the film. The exterior uses symbols representing the Wakandan tribe and purple patterns, along with an Adidas and Wakanda Forever gold logo on the upper side of the vehicle’s fender and a Marvel gold logo on the lower side.

In celebration of the LC CV special wrap car exhibition at Coex, Lexus is hosting a photo booth event where customers can take pictures with an on-site photo machine from November 12 to 16 and upload them to their Instagram for a chance to win one of 30 Megabox digital gift vouchers worth 30,000 KRW.

Lexus previously served as an official sponsor for the 2018 film , showcasing a chase scene over the Gwangan Bridge in Busan using the flagship coupe LC 500, and also participated in the 2021 film “Eternals,” which featured actor Ma Dong-seok, presenting ten Lexus Marvel Hero cars symbolizing the film’s ten ‘heroes.’
