Introducing the Maserati Grecale: Luxury and Performance Redefined

Maserati has launched the new luxury SUV model ‘Grecale’ in South Korea.

The ‘Grecale’ is Maserati’s second SUV model in its brand history, sharing the identity of various design and powertrain features with the Maserati super sports car MC20.

This SUV model, designed to make everyday experiences special, combines Maserati’s passion and innovation with timeless design, receiving praise for the perfect harmony achieved.

The ‘Grecale’ symbolizes the redefinition of Maserati’s SUV identity and heritage, with the Grecale Trofeo boasting a top speed of 285 km/h and an impressive 0 to 100 km/h time of just 3.8 seconds. It offers an elevated sound experience with the signature sound of the Maserati engine combined with the immersive Sonus faber multidimensional sound system.

The Grecale is available in three trims: the GT version with a 300-horsepower mild hybrid engine, the Modena version with a 330-horsepower mild hybrid engine, and the high-performance Trofeo version featuring a 530-horsepower V6 engine based on the same Nettuno engine as the MC20.

The ‘Grecale’ is designed with vertical design elements rather than horizontal ones, fitting the SUV aesthetic.

The front is the most striking part of the Grecale, featuring a low and impressive grill that recalls the super sports car MC20. The rear showcases boomerang taillights and Maserati’s unique trapezoidal lines, with a sporty interior finishing, sleek rear windows, bold fenders, and a coupe-like effect that emphasizes its sporty characteristics.

The ‘Grecale’ stands out as a family-sized SUV with an impressive spaciousness and comfort. The GT version boasts a length of 4,850mm, a wheelbase of 2,901mm, a height of 1,670mm, and a width of 1,950mm (wider by 30mm for Modena and Trofeo), offering one of the best interior spaces in its class.

For the first time in the brand’s history, the ‘Grecale’ features a digital clock, a customizable digital screen that allows for changing skins and appearances, as well as a head-up display. It also comes equipped with a 12.3-inch center display and an 8.8-inch comfort display that can be operated easily via touch. Prices for the Grecale start at 99 million KRW.

In a welcoming speech, Maserati Korea CEO Kim Kwang-chul expressed, “We are very pleased to present the Grecale, a symbolic model that redefines the identity and heritage of Maserati SUVs, and I am confident that this domestic launch will be an opportunity for Maserati to create a new wave in the luxury SUV import market.”
