Hyundai Motor Group and Taean County Join Forces to Enhance HMG Driving Experience

To increase customers at the HMG Driving Experience, Hyundai Motor Company partners with Taean County.

A representative from Hyundai Motor Group stated that they will collaborate with Taean County to develop travel packages aimed at increasing visitor numbers to the HMG Driving Experience.

The HMG Driving Experience is located within the Korean Technoring test track in Taean County, Chungcheongnam-do (1.26 million square meters). This test track includes a high-speed circuit, wet and dry surfaces, a multipurpose course, circular driving course, and off-road sections for a comprehensive driving experience.

While the HMG Driving Experience offers extensive opportunities to enjoy vehicles, accessibility is a significant issue. The location is approximately 150 km (93 miles) from Gangnam Station in Seoul, requiring a three-hour journey. Public transportation options are also limited; it takes over 30 minutes by taxi from HMG Driving Experience to the Taean County bus terminal. As a result, customer traffic has been minimal, making it challenging to set up shuttle services.

To tackle this situation, Hyundai Motor Company and Taean County plan to develop travel products that include visits to the HMG Driving Experience Center, initially targeting local residents.

Hyundai Motor Group emphasized, “We recognize the ongoing accessibility issues and are working with Taean County to develop integrated travel products to enhance customer engagement. We aim to allow more customers to experience the thrilling activities at HMG Driving and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Taean.”
