Renault Korea Introduces Competitive Financing Options for Popular Models Amid High Interest Rates

Renault Korea is responding to the high-interest rate environment, where car financing rates exceed 10%, by offering a 4.9% financing option across all models, including the QM6, SM6, and XM3, until the end of November.

Renault Korea’s financing plan allows customers to utilize an installment option without a cash down payment. As of November, the 4.9% rate applies for a maximum of 36 months on the QM6, SM6, and XM3, with rates of 5.9% for 48 months and 6.9% for 60 months. Note that the XM3 E-Tech hybrid and the new trim of the SM6 are only available for the 36-month financing option.

Additionally, there is a SMART (Smart) residual value financing plan that allows customers to defer a portion of their monthly payments and make adjustments according to their situation, such as vehicle return or extension of financing. For this option, the rate is 5.9% for 36 months, 6.5% for 48 months, and 6.9% for 60 months for all models.

Alongside these reasonable financing options, Renault Korea is also introducing various models that aim to lower the cost of vehicle purchases and maintenance in this era of high inflation.

Evaluated as the representative LPG SUV of the nation, the QM6 LPe can travel 534 km on a full 60-liter LPG tank according to official fuel efficiency standards. Calculating with the current average nationwide price of LPG at 1,031.41 won per liter as of November 22, that translates to roughly 61,884 won for 534 km. Compared to the same standards for gasoline at 1,645.45 won and diesel at 1,879.30 won, the QM6 LPe boasts outstanding competitiveness in total cost of ownership (TCO) assuming a five-year distance of 100,000 km.

The new trim of the mid-size sedan SM6, called SM6 Phil, has been priced at 27,440,000 won, which is 940,000 won less than the previous LE trim. This adjustment reflects direct consumer feedback on essential features they require for actual vehicle operation, integrating common functions into the standard and optional specifications.

For consumers who frequently drive in urban areas, the XM3 E-Tech hybrid represents an ideal choice with its highly electric vehicle-like hybrid system, capable of running up to 75% in EV mode in city segments. The XM3 E-Tech hybrid also provides an ‘EV Mode Button’ for 100% electric driving depending on battery capacity and speed, along with a ‘B-mode’ which allows for active battery charging through deceleration similar to engine braking when the driver lifts their foot off the accelerator.

Renault Korea is currently hosting a test drive event across all Renault Korea dealership showrooms until the 25th of next month, offering various prizes for participants. All customers who participate in the test drive will receive a customized 2023 desk calendar featuring their own photos. Additionally, personal customers who test drive and contract for the QM6, SM6, or XM3 and expect delivery by the end of the year will be entered into a raffle for various prizes, including a Dyson Airwrap, Bespoke vacuum cleaner, Illy coffee machine, and portable car vacuum cleaner.
