Tmap Mobility Launches New Project to Support Ride-Share Drivers this Winter

Tmap Mobility has prepared a lifestyle-oriented event to strengthen mutual growth with mobility platform workers such as ride-share drivers.

Tmap Mobility is conducting a ‘Convenience Store Discount Event for Mobility Platform Workers’ in collaboration with GS Retail. This event is part of the ‘Driver Happiness Project,’ following initiatives including ‘Full Insurance Premium Support (January)’, ‘Chuseok Gift Event (September)’, and ‘Mobile Rest Area Operation (October)’.

The event provides a 30-day free subscription voucher for the ‘Our Neighborhood GS Club | One Meal’ worth 4,000 won, which is operated by GS Retail. The two companies noted that mobility platform workers often visit nearby convenience stores to warm themselves up and purchase warm beverages or ready-to-eat meals during the cold weather.

The target audience for the event includes TMAP and Logi ride-share drivers, freight navigation users, valet drivers, and other mobility platform workers within TMAP. The estimated number of eligible participants is approximately 160,000 nationwide.

Participating is simple. Users should access the ‘coupon registration page (URL)’ sent via SMS from Tmap Mobility, enter the coupon code, and sign up for a 30-day free membership to ‘Our Neighborhood GS Club | One Meal’. After entering the subscription product voucher coupon, the validity period is 30 days, and installing the Our Neighborhood GS app and signing up as a member are mandatory.

When paying at GS25 convenience stores for lunch boxes, kimbap, salads, bread, cup noodles, beverages, etc., users can open the Our Neighborhood GS app and present the ‘Payment QR’ to automatically receive a 20% discount, applicable for up to 5 products per day. If they utilize their telecommunications membership benefits, the discount can go up to a maximum of 30%.

Additionally, Tmap Mobility plans to enhance customer benefits by introducing a ‘Stopover Addition Feature’ to TMAP ride-share services starting in December. The update will allow ride-share users (car owners) to specify a separate stopover in the app when traveling with companions going to different destinations. As the year-end approaches with many gatherings and parties, various promotions will also be introduced.

Kim Dohyun, head of Tmap Mobility’s ride-share services, stated, “We expect this initiative to be a useful benefit to mobility platform workers who are active outdoors during the cold winter season. We will continue to seek sustainable mutual growth options that can help drivers with their work and livelihood activities.”
