Ride-sharing Revolution: Tada’s New Mission to Boost Driver Earnings

Tada will launch a beta service of the ‘Sales Achievement Mission’, a feature designed to motivate drivers through earnings incentives, becoming the first in the industry to introduce this in their driver app as they aim to increase taxi supply in the second half of the year.

The ‘Sales Achievement Mission’ is structured to reward drivers with a certain amount of compensation whenever they meet their weekly sales target. This program targets Tada Next and Tada Plus private taxi drivers. Each week, drivers who successfully complete the mission can earn up to 150,000 KRW in reward money.

If drivers fulfill missions for four consecutive weeks, they can earn a maximum of 600,000 KRW monthly, and by continuing to achieve their missions until the end of the year (December 31), they could receive up to 1,800,000 KRW by year-end.

Tada plans to address the declining actual driving hours of individual drivers as the year draws to a close by introducing the ‘Sales Achievement Mission’ feature. By creating a system that allows drivers to earn higher profits in proportion to their time and effort spent driving, Tada aims to encourage drivers to proactively engage in driving, contributing to alleviating the year-end taxi crisis.

Kim Hyung-sun, PO (Product Owner) of Tada’s Effective Supply Silo, stated, “The Sales Achievement Mission feature is a service that can help increase taxi supply, so we expect benefits for both users and drivers. We will provide beta services so that all Tada Next and Plus drivers can use this feature by the end of the year, and closely monitor the actual effects and responses to enhance the service to have a good impact on the market.”

Tada CEO Lee Jeong-haeng mentioned, “The issue of declining individual taxi supply as the year-end approaches has been a recurring problem every year. We believe Tada can proactively resolve this issue through IT technology,” adding, “In the future, Tada will strive to address market problems with rapid and innovative approaches and services that have not existed before.”
