Kia Welcomes Its 21st Grand Master Salesman

This year, another master salesman has emerged at Kia.

On the 17th, in the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, Head of Sales Go Jae-sik achieved a total sales record of 4,000 vehicles, earning the title of ‘Grand Master.’

The Grand Master title is an honor bestowed upon outstanding sales employees at Kia who reach a cumulative sales figure of 4,000 units. Before Go Jae-sik, only 20 individuals had received this prestigious title.

As the 21st Grand Master, Go joined Kia in 1991 and achieved an average sales of about 130 units per year, culminating in 4,000 vehicle sales over 31 years. His unwavering focus on sales and consistent performance were key factors in reaching the Grand Master status.

Go stated, “Achieving such a monumental number like 4,000 made me think of the saying, ‘though the beginning is weak, the end will be glorious,’” and added, “I will serve the customers, who have bestowed this great honor upon an inadequate person like myself, with even more dedication and strengthen the trust with our clients.” Kia presented Go with a plaque and a reward vehicle (K9).

Kia currently runs various reward systems for its sales employees, including ▲Long-Term Sales Honor Reward System ▲Kia Star Awards aimed at fostering pride among sales staff and encouraging healthy sales competition.

Long-term sales honors include ▲’Star’ for achieving 2,000 units ▲’Master’ for 3,000 units ▲’Grand Master’ for 4,000 units and ▲’Great Master’ for 5,000 units. Kia provides cash rewards or vehicles (K9) for those who achieve these tiered sales milestones.
