Thrilling Finale of the 2022 Cadillac CT4 Class Reveals Season Champions

The final round of the 2022 Cadillac CT4 Class (Round 5) took place on the 23rd at Yongin Everland Speedway.

The ‘Cadillac CT4 Class’, now in its second season, is a one-make race where customers who have purchased Cadillac’s unique performance sedan CT4 participate. The event operates in a time trial format, ranking drivers based on their lap times.

The final round of the Cadillac CT4 Class unfolded in front of a large audience gathered at Yongin Everland Speedway. A total of 9 participants took to the track, competing fiercely to provide exhilarating entertainment for the spectators.

In the final results, last season’s champion Jeong-ho Byeon (No.1, DA Motors) clinched the first victory of the year with a time of 2 minutes 22.397 seconds. Byeon maintained his lead from the beginning of the race and confirmed his win by breaking the course record midway through the competition.

Finishing in second place was Il-gyeong Shin (No.76, Dream Racer) with a time of 2 minutes 23.419 seconds, and third place went to Hyun-joon Park (No.40, Cadillac CT4) with a time of 2 minutes 23.578 seconds, who all celebrated their podium finishes.

The season champion of the Cadillac CT4 Class, concluding the 2022 season through five rounds, is Mun-soo Kim (No.70, Dream Racer). After winning the opening round and the second round consecutively, Kim secured enough driver points and finished fourth in the final round, totaling a final driver points tally of 90, which crowned him the season champion.

Kim expressed, “I was very disappointed last year missing the championship by a single point, so I am very happy and relieved to achieve good results this season.” He added, “Especially, the CT4, which participated in the competition for two years without any issues, also played a part in winning the championship. I hope for more good opportunities in the future.”

In the meantime, Cadillac prepared a special event booth for racing fans watching the finals to experience the most powerful high-performance machine in the brand’s history, the CT5-V Blackwing, and its flagship SUV, the Escalade ESV, offering them a unique thrill.

Cadillac customers and attendees at the event enjoyed various activities arranged by Cadillac, including an event where they operated a timer to match the CT5-V Blackwing’s 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds, providing them with a fun and memorable experience.
