Major Price Hike for 2023 Mercedes-Benz Models in Korea

Mercedes-Benz Korea has carried out a model year change for 2023 and has significantly increased the selling prices. The hike ranges from 3.9 million to a maximum of 16.1 million won.

Recently, Mercedes-Benz Korea announced the pricing for the 2023 models. This price list includes all vehicles sold in Korea, from compact models to luxury vehicles. According to this list, small models have seen an increase of 3 to 4 million won, while midsize to large vehicles have increased by over 7 to 10 million won.

The compact model A220 hatchback saw its price rise from 40.6 million won to 44.5 million won, an increase of 3.9 million won, while the E350 4MATIC AMG line has increased from 89.2 million won to 94.1 million won, a rise of 4.9 million won, and the S500 4MATIC has gone from 183 million won to 199.1 million won, a staggering increase of 16.1 million won. The small SUV GLA 250 4MATIC has increased from 60.1 million won to 64.2 million won, a 4.1 million won increase, and the GLB 250 4MATIC rose from 63.3 million won to 67.7 million won, increasing by 4.4 million won.

The U.S.-produced models GLE and GLS have also seen significant price hikes with the 2023 updates. The GLE 300d 4MATIC has increased from 101.6 million won to 109.5 million won, an increase of 7.9 million won, while the GLS 400d 4MATIC’s price has risen from 141.6 million won to 152.9 million won, a rise of 11.3 million won.

Mercedes-Benz Korea emphasized that “through the model year change for 2023, most of the products have undergone upgrades, and for the compact model A-Class, product enhancements and consumable warranties have been applied, which led to the price increase.”
